Little Ruth Church Cemetery - Green Cove Springs, FL


This church is a very small, cinder block church that has a small cemetery on a large, mostly empty plot of land.  There are nearby houses, but it’s relatively quiet… save for some chickens and roosters.  I guess I’ve been spoiled by the Jennings Forrest Cemeteries!  The tombstones are all from modern times (the church was founded on July 26th, 1958), so if you are looking for that “classic cemetery”, this isn’t your place (not that it matters though).

Green Cove Springs - Little Ruth Church Road Cemetery [SIC… it’s actually “Little Ruth Church cemetery on Little Ruth Rd.]- across the road from the Feed Store. At the end of course is a little church and a very small graveyard.  The area in fact is large but very inhabited by dark apparitions, sucubuses, and a very mysterious dark apparition that runs around. Witnesses have reported seeing the apparition which is called “The Runner” that seems to follow you. He follows visitors while walking on 17 you can hear him, a distinct walk with slight scuff of his feet on the pavement.

Well, lol… being that Highway 17 is about 1/2 a mile from the cemetery -and the fact that not many people would be walking down a big highway like 17- sort of tarnishes that entire entry!  Of course, we’ve investigated it and got some evidence (although we weren’t chased by any sucubuses that I know of), so you can judge that for yourself!

I know what you are thinking… on first listen it sounds like a bullfrog or something.  I’m telling you, though… there wasn’t any other sound like this on the recording, and I would have heard it if it was a frog, a bug, or an animal.  Also, the other recorder picked up a lot of static at this time.  This is one of those that the more I listen, the better it gets.  After listening to it over and over and reflecting on it, I really am inclined to believe that this is an EVP and a direct response to what I was saying… and it’s definitely a sound not heard anywhere else on the recordings.

-Ruth Church Garble-

Ok, this one is VERY STRANGE, and pretty long for an EVP, and both recorders caught it!  Unfortunately, you can’t make out what it’s saying, but it’s definitely human sounding… and it clearly wasn’t us.

First, let me explain what I did in this clip… I spliced together one section from another recorder.  You can hear the sound quality change radically.  I did this because the second recorder caught a bit at the end that sounds like a whisper that the first one didn’t pick up (but the first one’s quality was much better during the first part).

If anyone can decipher what this is, I’d be happy to hear from you!  lol… Maybe this is what the alleged resident succubus sounds like!  After listening to it over and over, it does sound somewhat menacing…
