St. Margaret’s Church - Green Cove Springs, FL
Built on former orange grove and plantation grounds, this historic chapel is among the five oldest wooden churches still standing and in use in Florida. Located just off the St. John’s River, the church grounds now lie among million dollar homes and colossal oak trees.
The chapel was not completed until 1878, but the oldest grave in the cemetery belongs to the original plantation owner George Fleming (1760 - 1821). No haunting legends or tales are associated with the property to our knowledge, but it’s beauty and age make it an interesting place to check out.

Katie: "I like that they left this tree and just put the benches around it."
John: "Yeah... now that's a big tree. Holy cow.."
Kaite: "Yeah... that's awesome"

Katie: [laughs]
